Photography first. Paris second.
The city matters, but the photographs have to sell the photographer. Xiaoyue and Zixuan’s gallery works because the locations change while the visual language stays consistent: elegant colour, clean skin tones, movement and portraits that do not feel stiff.

A polished beginning without making the whole shoot formal
Xiaoyue and Zixuan were staying at Shangri-La Paris. Xiaoyue wore a white gown and Zixuan a dark suit, so the hotel gave us the right scale for the opening photographs. The suite, staircase and grand interiors created structure, symmetry and a sense of occasion.
I do not photograph every room simply because it is available. I use the spaces that genuinely change the picture. That keeps the gallery edited and gives the couple variety without turning the shoot into a tour of the hotel.

The strongest galleries change pace
Once we moved outside, the photographs could loosen up. Streets, people, traffic and changing light created movement that simply does not exist inside a luxury hotel. I still direct when it helps the frame, but the direction is there to create a situation, not to make the couple repeat the same pose in every location.
This is where a real story becomes more useful than a portfolio made from disconnected highlights. You can see how the formal opening leads into a lighter, more spontaneous part of the day.

Paris should look like Paris, but the landmark should not become the photographer
We included the recognisable Paris views because Xiaoyue and Zixuan travelled here for a Paris pre-wedding shoot. I do not see a problem with iconic locations. One strong establishing frame can do a lot of work. After that, I would rather change distance, composition and movement than make twenty versions of the same postcard.
The Seine and Montmartre then change the scale again. The river gives the gallery space and continuity; the tighter streets of Montmartre bring the attention back to the couple. Each location has a visual reason to be in the story.

What you are buying is not a route. It is the way I see the day.
A Paris route can be copied. The photographs cannot. The difference is in the decisions made every few seconds: where to stand, when to move, what to leave out, when a pose needs direction and when it needs to disappear.
