The wedding story

Villa Carlotta ceremony, Lake Como boat ride, Grand Hotel Tremezzo dinner

Kitri and Garrett’s celebration connects two lakeside venues with time on the water between them. The photographs follow that journey, from the Villa Carlotta ceremony to the Riva boat crossing and the reception at Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

The ceremony took place at Villa Carlotta, using the historic villa, gardens and lake views as part of the day rather than as a separate portrait location. From there the story moved onto the water before continuing at Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

An intimate dinner and portraits at Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Grand Hotel Tremezzo gives a very different photographic atmosphere from Villa Carlotta: more Belle Époque interiors, layered gardens, terraces and hotel rhythm. Keeping both locations in one story makes the contrast part of the wedding rather than treating each venue as a separate shoot.

The Riva boat section is especially useful because it creates both transport and photography time. The key is not to schedule it as a long staged session. A short boat window around better light can produce movement, landscape and portraits without removing the couple from their guests for too long.
